Teachers & Educational Workers’ Union (TEWU) embarked on a strike on January 13, 2021 to demand for better and improved working conditions from the Government.
Today, Wednesday, January 27 2020, Their colleagues in the University of Health and Allied Sciences Chapter of the Federation of Universities Senior Staff Association of Ghana (FUSSAG-UHAS) have embarked on a strike also. This is being done as a symbol of unity.
On Tuesday, January 26, the (FUSSAG-UHAS) President and Secretary, Mr. Alexander Yao Agbenu and Mr. Jeffery Nii Otu Lakai respectively published an official statement to this effect. The strike however does not include the university basic school staff.
