A concerned Ghanaian Economist, Jerome believes the popular tv reality show Date Rush is alien to Ghana’s culture and must be banned.
According to him, he believes Date Rush must not be allowed to go on since it serves as a negative influence on the minds of viewers and ignites their lustful tendencies.
Tweeting his thoughts with the handle [@readJerome], Jerome believes Date Rush can be equated to unconventional prostitution where women are paraded in the market square for the lustful watch of men and their eventual selection for the night.
Jerome believes Date Rush needs to be banned and called on Parliament to enact new laws that will ensure that such reality shows are not allowed on Ghana’s airwaves in the future.
Date rush is not our culture. Someone tell Sam George to table a bill banning it.

Date Rush is a popular reality show organized by the Media General Group and shown on TV3 every Sunday. This show allows for men to choose and pick their potential dates…women are paraded and men do select the ones they believe suit their fancies.
Date Rush is arguably the show with the highest ratings and viewership in Ghana in the evenings of every Sunday. However, Jerome believes the moral degradation the show is doing to the culture and upbringing of the Ghanaian youth leaves much to be desired and should be banned.
