Taxes Have Gone Up And Citizens Can’t Speak About It Because NPP “Attack” Dogs Won’t Allow Them Voice Out Their Opinions – Nana Aba Fires Shots

The government, through the caretaker Minister for Finance, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu in delivering the 2021 budget last week announced the government’s proposal of introducing six new taxes.

These taxes include a COVID-19 Health Levy; 1% increase in National Health Insurance Levy and 1% increase in flat VAT rate as well as a 30 pesewas increase in fuel prices to take care of excess power capacity charges [20 pesewas] and Sanitation and Pollution Levy [10%].

A lot of unhappy Ghanaians have since reacted to the news with some pleading with the Government to rescind on their decisions as it will financially drain the citizens.

Reacting to this, aced Broadcast Journalist Nana Aba Anamoah has taken to Twitter to blast some NPP supporters who are against the Government’s decision.

According to her; Taxes go up! Responsible citizens will talk about it because they’re either happy or unhappy about it. But no, NPP & government ‘attack dogs’ on social media want the citizens to shut up. Are you okay? ”

Her Tweet got more angry reactions from Sympathizers of NPP who called her Ashawo among other derogatory names.
