The way Mahama reduced Akufo-Addo’s votes is a worry to the NPP – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong believes former President Mahama is a source of worry to the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) based on his performance in the 2020 election.

According to him, Mahama remains a strong force for his party to reckon with especially with the number of votes he was able to garner in the election.

From a deficit of 1 million, Mahama was able to half it to 500,000 votes which clearly means that he has what it takes to win the next election if he is presented.

The Assin Central MP warned the NPP to be cautious since the next election in 2024 will not be served on a silver platter as far Mahama is in the mix.

“Don’t underestimate Mahama because he lost by over a million votes in 2016 but reduced the gap to about 500,000 in 2020. It tells you that he is a force to reckon with.”

“The third term is not easy, nobody has been able to do that, so that should be a lesson to us, if indeed we want to get the third term, then we should do things right,” Kennedy Agyapong said in a radio interview.
